Have You Claimed Your Google Places Listing?

If you've ever been on Google and typed in a search phrase alomng wih a geo modifier such as painters New Jersey you'll notice a drop down box of 7 corporations usually displays together with a map of the business locations. This is commonly known as the Google Places lists. They take priority over the natural search listings when you add a geo modifier into the search phrase.

You will see if you click into the listings for more information you'll see an authenticated or not verified message. If the Places entry isn't confirmed it'll only have basic info in it. There'll be a message pronouncing something like claim this listing if it is not verifed. Google automatically creates place pages for all the enterprises it finds. If you determine that the business is yours you'll be able to add a fuller outline, add your opening hours and payment methods, and add photographs and videos.

Claiming the listing will make your place page more exciting to browsers. It will also permit you to put your business in the appropriate categories which may lead to your page being shown more times. More view equals more future clients.

To determine yourlisting click on the message once you see your listing. Google will then send you a postcard to the address or text that contains a code. You need to enter this code in to the box in the Google Places listing after you are signed into your Google account.

After this is verified you may then make your liating more engaging. Folks can then rate your services and everyone knows buyer testimonials are a very important part of enticing new clients and crediting brand credibility. So what are you waiting for? Go and find your listing by typing in your company name and your city. If you can't find one you can submit a new listing.
